Baby drop box is a success at Japan hospital.

A total of 6 babies have been posted through this drop box since it was installed last May.

The Jikei Hospital baby hatch is a small door located in the hospital wall where an infant size bed is located. Unwanted babies are then left in the bed. Several minutes later, an alarm is sounded to alert staff.
